Relation Sept.2004― confirm the space between the trunks

My work makes a pair with my work last year. I confirm the space between the trunks of the trees again by placing a stone marked with white paint on each space. Those trunks and stones show the contrast of organic and inorganic matters. They also lead us to think about the relation between nature and art.

関係(Sept. 2004) ― 幹と幹のを確認する


2003年、この同じ場所、同じ樹を使って、幹と幹との間に白い不定形の円弧を挟み込むことによって、幹と幹との間の人為と自然が一体となった空間を確認する仕事をしました（2003年、カタログ参照）。今回の仕事は、前回の仕事と対をなすもので、同じ幹と幹の間に、白くマーキングした自然石を挟み込むことにより、再び、幹と幹との間に広がる空間を確認します。幹と幹との間に置かれた自然石は、有機物と無機物の対比を見せながら、自然と人為との関係を考えさせてくれるでしょう。
