ーTriangleー Nature, People, Time

We are made to alive in harmony with the natural environments, such as the warm sunlight, the breeze, the green odor of the young leaves, or the sound of the gentle rain falling in bamboo bush. At the time we feel enlivened with such things, a yarn is woven into as the first woof of the cloth. And the reiteration of the move gives a birth to a piece of cloth. We would like, with reverence for life, to devote ourselves into weaving just like a spider that spins and forms its web in natural manner. Boundless potentiality of a diversity of handweavings originated by a yarn seems to conceive what we have been longing for. A yarn symbolizes the present. It follows that the succession of a yarn will appear as the passage of time.

ートライアングルー 　自然、人、時間

その時々の陽光や、若葉の匂い、竹林を打つ雨の音、それらと一体になったとき、私達は生かされ、一本の糸が打ち込まれる。その連なりが一枚の布を生む。そんな生命への畏敬を込めて、蜘蛛が糸を紡ぎ巣を編むように、あるがまま布を織ってゆきたい。 一本の糸から生みだされる無限の可能性の内に求め続けているものがあるように思える。一本の糸、それは今であり、その連なりが時となって現われるはずである。

In 1980, Satoko Ymamoto and Ryoko Iida jointly formed "Studio Hane65" aiming to produce attractive cloth primarily hand-woven. Since 1991 they started installations in architectural spaces like Elisman house(Yokohama),Furukawa Garden house(Tokyo), Striped House　 Museum(Tokyo), ZEXEL Zoom(Tokyo) and many others. They also made exhibitions in the theme of “The Forest of Memory”in Tokyo and New York. They continue their duo product collaboration.


1980年山本里子と飯田竜子はStudio羽65として手織りを中心とした美しい布作りをめざす。　 1991年よりエリスマン邸(横浜）、古河邸(駒込）、ストライプハウス美術館 （六本木）、ゼクセルZOOM(渋谷）など建築空間でのインスタレーション、また1996年からは“記憶の森”のテーマで東京、ニューヨークなどで発表し、ニ人のコラボレーションを続けている。
